Helping preserve our heritage, Butlers Patternmakers were asked to produce milestone as the 18th century original.

Milestones have been a part of our countryside since the 18th century. As an example of some of the diverse projects that Butlers Patternmakers have been involved in, the milestone at Dudmaston was smashed when a car ran off the road.

We were asked by the Shropshire Council, Milestone Society and the National Trust to reverse engineer a milestone to replace the original.

The replacement milestone now takes pride of place on the Bridgnorth to Kidderminster road near Dudmaston Hall.
